November & December

Shorter and colder days are well and truly here but still plenty to do in the garden. Raking the leaves off the lawn is still needed, put them in a leaf pile or scatter in the borders to mulch down. Mulching around established shrubs can also be done now and do make sure that any tender plants are put somewhere frost free.

Plant Spring Bulbs

If you haven't already picked up your Spring flowering bulbs then don't wait too much longer, as our stocks begin to dwindle in November. You need to plant them as soon as possible to ensure you get a colourful display next year.

Don't Forget To Feed The Birds

As the days get colder and more frosty our feathered friends begin to rely more upon our generous offereings in the garden. If you're a regular feeder of birds then make sure you keep it up as they become reliant on regular food sources. We've got many different types of food to suit all wild birds, have a look at what we've got to offer here.

A Touch Of Winter Colour

You garden doesn't have to be dull looking throughout winter. We've got some great splashes of colour that can be added to any bed, border, basket or pot. Winter flowering pansies and Cyclamen are two old favourites to choose from.
