National Award - Best Plant Area 2024
Having got through to the National finals, we are delighted to announce we have won the award for the best Plant Area in the Local Garden Centre category of the Garden Centre Association. This national award means we beat competition from all over the country to land this coveted prize.
A big congratulations and a massive thank you to all the dedicated staff who put in so much hard work to make this possible.

Best Plant Area - 2 Years Running!
We have won an award for the Best Plant Area 2024 Local Garden Centre, South Thames category of the Garden Centre Association. Well done to all the staff who continue to work incredibly hard to make our plant area look amazing!
Our Plant Area is now entered into the National final where the top 10 garden centres in the country get inspected again to determine the overall winner. Fingers Crossed!
Meet Thompson's Welling's Manager
This is Andrew, Thompson's Welling General Manager. Andrew has worked in his current role as general manager since 2009. Before that, he has also worked as a plant manager at our Newchurch & Petham branches.
Horticulturist
A trained horticulturist since his school days, Andrew has travelled to and worked in, countries like America and Australia to further his horticultural knowledge.
